CAL FIRE holding video contest for Fresno County kids

CAL FIRE/Fresno County Fire invites all school-age children in the area to participate in a fire safety video contest.
Participants are invited to produce a 30-second to three-minute video on any fire safety or fire prevention theme, for submission by June 1, for a chance to win a prize.
Submissions may take the form of a public safety announcement, short dramatic film, comedy sketch, or other genres, but they MUST communicate a clear fire safety message to peers or adults.
Submissions will be reviewed by CAL FIRE/Fresno County firefighters and judged within the following age categories: Kindergarten-Grade 3, Grades 4th-6th, Grades 7th-8th, and grades 9th-12th.
Submissions will be accepted from individuals or groups. (Participants must follow CDC guidelines for physical distancing and/or mask-wearing in producing the film).
Winning videos will be posted on the CAL FIRE/Fresno County Fire’s social media sites, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Students may reference CAL FIRE’s, or the National Fire Protection Association, for fire safety ideas.
Videos should be emailed by June 1 to Fire Prevention Specialist Stacey Nolan –
Be sure to include your name, age and school grade in your email.
More information is available on CAL FIRE/Fresno County Fire social media pages, including Instagram (@calfire_fresnocountyfire), Facebook, and Twitter (@FresnoCoFire), or by contacting Fire Prevention Specialist Stacey Nolan –
By submitting your video, you grant CAL FIRE/Fresno County Fire permission to use all or part of your video on social media. Good luck!
