Fresno-Kings Branch founded in March 2010.

Purpose

The Fresno-Kings Branch of the Historical Society and Museum for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection will serve, under the By-Laws and Governance of the established statewide Nonprofit Corporation, as a medium to: identify, collect, preserve, document, exhibit and interpret material evidence and information of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the Fresno County Fire Protection District, the Mid-Valley Fire District and the Westside Fire District. The underlying purpose is to promote pride and loyalty in its employees, maintain traditions of service and preserve history, for the benefit of educating CAL FIRE employees and the general public.

 Membership

Membership is open to ALL active and retired CAL FIRE employees. Corporate membership is available for individuals and/or businesses who wish to operate in support of the Museum.

 

 

 Membership Dues

An annual or monthly donation may be made through payroll or warrant deduction. The minimum contribution is $24.00 per year or $2.00 per month.

Meetings

Regular Branch meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every other month, commencing with January of each year (January, March, May, July, September, November). Meetings are held at 10:00 a.m. at Mid Valley regional Fire training Center located at 9594 E American ave Del Rey CA 93616.

Events

Annual Fresno-Kings Unit BBQ, Parades, Conferences, other Community Events as interest dictates.
