#ClintonIncident - At 1:26p.m. firefighters responded to a vegetation fire 8200 E Clinton Ave x S DeWolf Ave ,Fresno. @clovis_fire E44, @fresnofiredepartment E10 and @calfire_fresnocountyfire E86 & Water Tender 83 quickly contained the fire to 3.14 acres. The fire initially threatened one farm storage building. Cause of the fire was from a lawn mower rock strike. This serves as a reminder, mowing after 10a.m. is an example of doing the right thing the wrong way. We encourage homeowners to keep their grass cut to 4 inches or shorter, but mowing activities need to occur early in the morning when relative humidities are still high. Mowing early in the day minimizes the chance of causing an accidental fire. Learn more about fire prevention & fire safety from CAL FIRE by visiting:
